Join us for our August meeting where member Christy Heaton will be discussing coding in GIS. Coding can be a career-changing skill for GIS professionals. But learning to code can be overwhelming, and even highly motivated people may not know the best way to get started. This talk will go through the steps a GIS professional could take to get started on their coding journey.

Christy is a GIS analyst turned software developer with a love for Python programming, making beautiful things, and automating tedious tasks. She has over a decade of experience in the public and private sectors and education and enjoys helping people get into programming.
