Join is for our first WA Women in GIS & Technology (WWGT) meeting of 2024, Leadership in GIS (How Everyone is Involved). Joanne Markert will describe her view of the differences between leadership vs management, provide some examples from her own experiences and open it up to questions or discussions from the group.  Join us for a lively presentation, collaborative discussion, and reflection on your own piece of the puzzle.

Joanne is the State Geographic Information Officer, WaTech. Joanne is committed to creating a team environment that encourages collaboration among state, local, federal, and tribal partners and enjoys learning new ways to apply GIS for the benefit of Washington State. She is an enthusiastic and consistent advocate for GIS technology and the dedicated professionals that make the magic happen.
