We had such a positive response and interest to help at the Emergency Food Network (EFN) that we decided to turn our WA Women in GIS & Technology August Social hour into an opportunity to help at EFN’s Mother Earth Farm. We hope you can join us for Brewer's Night at EFN's Mother Earth Farm on Friday August 23rd at 5:30pm! We'll be pulling weeds as we enjoy a refreshing donated beer from a local brewery. This event in 21 and up and a photo ID and registration are required (details below). We understand that it's rush hour traffic on Friday. No worries if you're re running late! You are welcome to arrive anytime during the session.

It is very important to sign up using this link so they know how many are coming and have your completed volunteer form. There is a limit to the number volunteers so please sign up soon if you can.

Why: Emergency Food Network provides 13.9 million pounds of healthy, nutritious food annually to 76 food pantries, meal sites, and shelters for distribution to families and individuals in need. EFN’s Mother Earth Farm is an 8-acre organic farm located in the beautiful Puyallup Valley. The farm grows over 100 varieties of fruits and vegetables to Pierce County food pantries. Food from the farm is typically available to our neighbors in need within 24-hours of harvest. Even if you cannot attend this month, please considering supporting or volunteering for this great organization and help eliminate hunger in Pierce County.
